Man some neighbors are just so rude.

Introduction to Problem:
   One summer evening, I was watching some TV with my parents with my dog at my side. Suddenly... CRASH! Something had fell somewhere in the house. My dog jolts from the couch and paces over to the entry way. My parents and I follow behind, unaware of what we were about to see. Nothing! Nothing was wrong from the inside of the house, but the outside was another story. Our neighbor next door (who never said hello to us btw wen we moved in and is a full grown man) had been working on his side garden where he happens to have some large and tall trees. He had been fixing up the retaining wall holding up the trees roots, but then that one windy night...one fell. The tree damaged the corner of our roof and caused more trouble than it could've. My dad investigated and ~hellodragon came over to help. Later our neighbor proposed that WE the VICTIMS pay HALF of the damage when it was HIS FAULT. We refused and we went to court.
   The judge heard both sides of the story and our claims. My side proposed evidence of his fault against the negligence of the trees. With him removing the retaining wall, there was no support for the trees that had once relied on it to stay upright, only dirt. My neighbor's side didn't have any "real" evidence to support himself. He said it was an "act of god" on his tree to fall. Yeah right. An act of god caused a tree that had been happily standing there for over 40 years right when you happened to remove the retaining wall, a key part in keeping the tree upright. Sure, of course.
   In the end my side won, and now he is being a sore loser about it.

What Happened Today:
   So as usual I was walking my dog in the afternoon/early evening. My neighbor always leaves his garage open, though he isn't in there all the time. He also has a cat. Damn that cat... So I was walking past his house and his garage was open as usual. I barely made it across his driveway to where his mailbox was until my dog saw his cat, who was laying on his driveway, and dashed at it. I was unaware of the cat laying there and set the lock on my dog's retractable leash, causing him to stop. The cat runs inside the garage, and HE appears. He is talking on the phone, and pauses himself to talk to me.
   He says, and I quote, "I saw that. Letting your dog almost get my cat was uncalled for and disrespectful. Get that dog and yourself away from my cat."
   That settled it. I didn't talk back for I didn't want to get into any unnecessary trouble, but boy did I have a story to tell. The remaining time I spent on that walk I talked to myself about how rude he was and how he needs to go... well I won't mention that... but he had no right to talk to me that way. He has nothing to hold against me. I don't care whether he is being sore about losing in court to me and my family. He is just a liar. And besides, if I weren't so nice, I would've snapped back at him. I would've said all kinds of colorful words and phrases. And he wouldn't have anything against me. For I am a minor by law, and he can't touch me. Anyways, I returned home and told my parents the wonderful encounter I had with our neighbor and my dad goes off. He walks about the door and has a talk with our neighbor.
   Later my dad returns and tells me that our neighbor believes that I let go of my dog's leash, ON PURPOSE so that my dog could get his cat! Can you BELIEVE that crap!? I mean seriously! If I even wanted to hurt or even kill that damned cat I would've just picked up my dog. Taken him over to his house. Set him down on the ground and let him run rampant all over his garage until that cat was nothing but splatters of blood all over the walls. And believe me, after this, it's in my arsenal of ways to make sure he doesn't mess with me. I'm not just any "irritable" teenager as he called it. I can do much more than be "irritable." If he wants to challenge me and my family AGAIN through court...
